The Hills Shire Council has been taking steps to reduce its carbon footprint and promote sustainable energy. In 2023, we helped the council install more solar panels on their Norwest administration building, which added to the 400 existing panels already installed on its rooftop. These new panels are expected to generate approximately an additional 73,000 kWh of clean electricity in their first year. We have also installed solar systems at on other council-owned buildings to reduce their main electricity use and greenhouse gas emissions since 2012.The installation of solar systems helps with the council’s efforts to promote renewable energy and reduce their carbon footprint.
